Once the plugin is active, the Login Me Now menu in WordPress walks you through setup. The steps below keep everything customer-friendly and easy to follow.
1. Open the Setup Assistant
- In your WordPress dashboard, click Login Me Now.
- The welcome screen shows the main cards: Login Methods, Branding, Temporary Access, and Activity Logs.
2. Pick Your Login Methods
Each method has a simple on/off switch and a link to add credentials if needed.
- Email Magic Link – Sends a one-time link to the customer’s inbox. Turn it on and enter the address you want replies to go to.
- Google Login – Click Connect Google, paste your Client ID and Secret from the Google Cloud Console, and save.
- Facebook Login – Click Connect Facebook and follow the prompts from your Facebook app.
- One-Click Browser Token – Ideal for your internal team. Enable it if you use the Login Me Now browser extension.
- Temporary Login Links – Perfect for giving a customer or contractor short-lived access. Set the expiry time that feels safe for your business.
Tip: You can switch methods on or off at any time. Customers will only see the buttons you enable.
3. Set the Default Role
Choose the WordPress role new customers should receive after logging in (Subscriber, Customer, Member, etc.). The dropdown lives at the bottom of the Login Methods card.
4. Add Your Branding
Make the experience feel like your own site:
- Open the Branding card.
- Upload your logo (square images look best on buttons).
- Pick colours that match your brand and click Save.
5. Send Yourself a Test Login
- Click Send Test Link inside the Email Magic Link card or use the Preview option on any login method.
- Open the email or social login and make sure you end up on the right page (dashboard, My Account, etc.).
6. Share With Customers
- Add the new login buttons to your existing login page or use the shortcode shown in the dashboard.
- Announce the new login option in an email or banner so customers know what to expect.
